Meet our Director & Lead Photographer, Geena 👋🏽

Hey, I’m Geena – a brand and event photographer based in Melbourne with a big love for light, storytelling and connection.

It all began in 2020, when I quit my 9–5 to work as a full-time professional photographer. Fun fact: I once worked as a laser scientist – literally shaping light for research-grade lasers, and somewhere along the way, picked up a Master’s of Marketing. I like to think my science background helps me shape light intuitively, while my marketing knowledge allows me to deep-dive into the heart of a brand and bring it to life visually. (I guess you could say that with physics in one pocket and marketing in the other, I very quickly found my sweet spot!).

As a photographer, I adore listening to people’s stories, celebrating milestones, and capturing moments that make you feel truly seen. It’s all about just having a good time. So, if you’re looking for a photographer who understands branding and marketing as well as the creative side, I’d be honoured to bring all of that expertise (and great vibes) to your project.

What does ‘Conflux’ mean?

‘Flux’ is inspired by the idea of movement, energy and transformation. In science-y terms, luminous flux is a measure of visible light – the brightness we actually see. That’s the kind of energy we aim to bring: clear, intentional and made to resonate. Since ‘conflux’ (or confluence) is the act or process of merging, our studio name represents the blending of our past learnings to deliver only the best work for our clients.
